Printing colour
All our books have the text printed
in black only as a requirement of the printing process,
and usually with clear margins (i.e. no 'bleeds'). Covers/jackets
are normally printed in full colour (4 colour process)
and only on the outside. Colour photos or illustrations
can be included with the text on a ‘plate section’
printed separately on artpaper and bound into the book
at the end of the process (see ‘Text
illustrations and photos’).
