COST AND PAYMENT
Cost obviously varies with the
format of the book, the number of pages and the number
of copies ordered. For a typical small paperback the
total cost for a first edition taking in all the aspects
of design and production and including our service throughout,
would start from a few thousand pounds. This is for
books that are professionally typeset, designed and
produced to a standard achieved by leading publishers,
and with the benefit of our care and expertise from
start to finish. On receipt of your completed cost estimate
request form we will provide you with a written estimate
of the anticipated total cost stating clearly what is
included, so there are no ‘hidden extras’.
As the client you will be responsible for paying these
costs, and will then own the whole stock of finished
books. Our payment terms are stated on our estimate,
and will normally include a percentage of the total
estimated cost to be paid with the order, and a further
interim payment to be paid before we go to press. The
balance of costs is charged when the finished books
are produced. Alternative terms are sometimes arranged
for clients placing their second or subsequent titles
with us, and for reprints.
